Godall and its “Lacrima Olea” steal the heart of Barcelona.

On June 21st, the “Lacrima Olea” brand made its “debut” in such an emblematic space as the Boqueria Market, in the very historical center of Barcelona. The event coordinated by Pierre Ralda on behalf of Godall Cooperative was attended by 3 outstanding Olive Oil Hosts: the gastronomic journalist Tana Collados, the Barcelona’s chef Ada Parellada (Semproniana Restaurant) and the Michelin one star’s chef (and ambassador of Terres de l’Ebre) Jeroni Castell (Les Moles Restaurant) shared a round table and subsequent culinary demonstration on the benefits of extra virgin olive oil from Godall.

Our village, its ancient olive trees, and the great efforts of the local cooperative were highlighted by the cooperative president Alexis Albiol, and his colleague Aureli Villalbí. As we have already explained, Lacrima Olea is the brand for the Godall Cooperative products. In recent years these have won some of the most important international awards in the world.

Jeroni Castell told his cuisine “Could not be understood without olive oil”. He also explained how his tasting menu is based on various “trompe l’oeil” and illusions based on olive oil. The journalist Tana Collados highlighted the “organoleptic richness” of the oils of the DO Baix Ebre Montsià, whereas Ada Parellada spoke about the many benefits of olive oil in modern cuisine.

After so many months of lockdown, the event was the first with live audience at La Boqueria. It brought together some 25 people and many more in an open streaming broadcast.

For those who still wish to watch, the recording of the event is available at this link, as well as a short interview with the 3 special guests  can be found at this link.

As Board members  of the Godall Cooperative, Ralda & Friends is particularly proud of the success of Lacrima Olea products.
