Oil and Asparagus Fair of Godall: so much to celebrate!

Our village of Godall, where we have our olive trees, is ready to host the 14th Olive and Asparagus Fair on the week-end of 11 & 12 March. This is an annual meeting where traditional and exquisite local products are presented and tasted. It became a reference fair in Catalonia, and it is an opportunity for the Godall inhabitants to be all involved around a common project of sharing our Mediterranean identity.

Also, we would encourage everybody to come to Godall (Tarragona) on March 11 & 12 to join us in the many gastro, cultural and traditional activities we are going to experience.

We will also take this occasion to host our second annual Encounter of Ralda&Friends “Padrinos” (Adopters) on Saturday 11th. This way we can gather our friends in a festive day and, at the same time, to join the bunch of popular activities while visiting our olive trees in La Serra or la Plana.

We will celebrate is that the Morruda Olive oil of our local cooperative was awarded by the Diputación de Tarragona with the CDO Prize to the best Virgin Extra Olive Oil in 2016 in . It was indeed such a recognition for our unique olive variety (“Morruda”) and for all farmers who are working hard on it.

Last, but not least, we want to announce (and thank), that Alfredo Ralda has been invited to speak at the Official Opening of the Oil and Asparagus Fair on Saturday 11 March at 12.30. This is something our family feels very proud of and we want this to be a wonderful beginning of a wonderful week-end.
