Prestigious cartoonist Chappatte, new R+F adopter. Let’s celebrate it with an original charity concert!

Ralda+Friends is honoured to announce that the prestigious Swiss Cartoonist Chappatte has recently adopted one of our olive trees at La Plana last August.

Patrick Chappatte is world-known and recognised by his many works in European and American press and for his charity works through the Cartooning for Peace Swiss Foundation.

Besides, as a Geneva’s Collège Voltaire alumni, Patrick was an old friend (and neighbour in Sant Jean’s district) of Alfredo and Pierre Ralda. He promised us to adopt one of our olive trees in Godall after coming back from his stay in the USA and he accomplished his promise. Therefore: thanks and welcome Patrick!

For those who don’t (yet) know this brilliant graphic journalist and cartoonist, here we introduce some of his biography. The following is © from Chappatte’s web (www.globecartoon.com)

Chappatte asked us to report and invite all of our friends to a charity concert for Cartooning for Peace on Friday, Sept. 16, in Geneva.

Beethoven’s Nº3 Symphony for violin, wind and pen!

Enjoy an exceptional live concert by the Suisse Romande Orchestra, led by cartoonists Plantu and Chappatte at Geneva’s Victoria Hall. An evening to celebrate freedom of expression under the patronage of Kofi Annan. The Swiss Cartooning for Peace Foundation defends cartoonists and illustrators threatened around the world and recognised their work through the International Bi-annual Prize Cartooning for Peace / Ville de Genève, and through their helping funds.

If you want to visit Geneva and enjoy a wonderful event with one of our most renowned R+F friends, you can buy your ticket at: http://dld.bz/concertOSR

Carpe Diem
